Galaxy General Contracting has experience

Gut/Moderate Rehabilitation
Many of the Projects Galaxy has completed involved
the complete interior renovation of a building whose exterior
was sound and in many cases had a lot of architectural style.
Gut rehabs basically involve the removal of everything that
is not a structural element. We then rebuild the floor plan
to suit the owners or developers plans. This also includes
completely reconstructing the mechanical systems of the building,
Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical.
Special Need Facilities
The need to construct apartment style
facilities that offer medical assistance to it's residents
offers special challenges. In the case of modernizing an existing
facility they often require major upgrades to services that
were constructed decades and hundreds of city codes ago.

Restoration
One of our greatest pleasures comes from saving
an amazing piece of our American heritage. Being able to modernize
a historically significant property and make it livable by
todays standards is one of the hardest yet most rewarding
tasks we are asked to complete. Bringing facilities built
one hundred years ago up to the city's housing codes adds
to the challenge. Galaxy has established a reputation for

Residential
Galaxy has completed projects as diverse as the renovation of many
of the Upper West Side's Brown Stones to the construction
of a 40-house development in Newark, NJ. From single family homes
to multifamily apartment complexes, we have worked with developers
and individual owners and have given each project owner the
attention and careful management they deserve. We Completed approximately 200 condominium apartments.
Commercial Properties
Medical Facilities, Government Offices, Banks,
